Making Up (Qada’) Sajdas al-Tilawa

Question

A person owes sajdas al-tilawa numbering in the hundreds. How should he perform them? And is it not a sin not to prostrate immediately after the recitation?

Answer

Prostrating immediately after the recitation is mustahabb; delaying it is also not a sin. One who owes many prostrations should keep performing prostrations without specifying [them], until his heart begins to testify that now no prostration remains owed by him.
