Is sajda al-sahw necessary if Surah al-Fatiha is recited again after a sajda al-tilawa in the prayer?

Question

After al-Hamd the imam recited a sura in which a verse of prostration occurred, and he performed sajda al-tilawa; then, standing up, he recited al-Hamd — that is, al-Hamd was recited twice in one rak‘a. Will sajda al-sahw be wajib or not?

Answer

In such a case the sajda is not wajib. Had he recited al-Hamd twice consecutively — that is, had there been no separation by some other recitation in between — then sajda al-sahw would have been wajib (Fatawa Qadi Khan, p. 61).
