Reciting aloud in a silent prayer

Question

An individual worshipper (munfarid), in his audible (jahri) prayers, deliberately recited Surah al-Fatiha aloud in the third and fourth rak‘as — will the prayer be valid or not? Likewise, what is the ruling if he deliberately recites the qira’a aloud in the sunna prayers? And in the case of reciting aloud by forgetfulness, will sajda al-sahw suffice?

Answer

Where reciting silently is wajib, deliberately reciting Surah al-Fatiha aloud does not make the prayer fasid (invalid); however, because of the abandonment of a wajib it will be makruh, and repeating it (i‘ada) will be necessary (lazim). And in such a situation, reciting aloud by forgetfulness makes sajda al-sahw necessary (lazim)
