Making du‘a’ with raised hands in each tarwiha
Question
What is the ruling on intimate supplication after four rak‘as of tarawih?
Answer
After every four rak‘as of tarawih a sitting for rest (jalsat al-istiraha) is mustahabb, and in it there is a choice: if one wishes, he recites tasbih and salawat; if he wishes, he remains occupied with nafl prayers and recitation of the Qur’an; if he wishes, he spends this time in du‘a’ and intimate supplication. So it is in Sakb al-Anhur, vol. 1, p. 236.
