Reciting “لا يملكون منه إلا خطابا” instead of “لا يملكون منه خطابا”

Question

If someone in the prayer recites “لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ إِلَّا خِطَابًا” instead of “لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا”, is his prayer valid or not?

Answer

In this case a gross change of meaning (taghayyur fahish) has occurred, contrary to what the Noble Qur’an intends; therefore the prayer has become fasid (invalid).
