Invalidation of the prayer by a gross error (khata’ fahish)

Question

If a hafiz recites incorrectly and completes the prayer, what is the ruling? Explain and be rewarded.

Answer

If he made such an error that a gross change of meaning occurred, and the meaning cannot be rectified by any rule of Arabic, then the prayer has become fasid (invalid) and repeating it (i‘ada) is obligatory.
