What is the ruling on the prayer if incense-stick smoke enters the nose?
Question
If someone burns musk and then prays, will there be any harm to the prayer or not? Just as in blessed Ramadan, if someone deliberately burns musk, the fast becomes fasid by it, because the smoke rises through the mouth and nose and reaches the stomach and the brain. Now the question is: will the prayer become fasid by praying after lighting an incense stick?
Answer
The prayer does not become fasid by this. If, however, [a person] deliberately takes the smoke inside, as is done with a cigarette, then the prayer will become fasid.
