The Eid prayer and the like in a non-Muslim place of worship or on their land
Question
Is it permissible to pray in a place of worship (ma'bad) of the unbelievers? Among us there is a people called the “Burma” (Burmese); they have built a temple on a mountain and placed idols there. And here there is also a “Javi” mountain, below which is [another] mountain, and below that a field; if one prays on it, the javi will be in front of the worshippers, i.e. in the direction of the qibla; and the mountain together with the field is called the Javi mountain. Moreover, the said field is owned by unbelievers.
Answer
(1) It is makruh.
