Praying in trousers (pantaloons)

Question

Is the prayer valid when performed wearing trousers, which are part of English dress?

Answer

Where trousers are a distinctive mark (shi‘ar) of the unbelievers, wearing them there is impermissible, and prayer in them is makruh.
