The Issue of Muhadhat

Question

Zayd is the imam, and his wife alone wishes to pray following him. Where should she stand? Can she and Zayd’s minor daughter stand on the right side, adjoining Zayd? Or can some adult mahram [woman] of Zayd stand on his right, adjoining him?

Answer

The wife, the minor daughter and the adult daughter should all stand behind; none [of them] should stand alongside (level).
