Hadath during the prayer while the water is far away: what should one do?

Question

A person praying held back, during the prayer, wind that was about to pass. Is his prayer valid? Further, if he passed wind during the prayer, he will have to go from one mosque to another for wudu — what is the ruling in such a case?

Answer

If the wind did not pass, the prayer is valid. If the wind passed, the wudu no longer remains. Wherever the water is — whether in another mosque or at home — he should go there and perform wudu.
