Should the lahiq say the tasmi‘ or the tahmid?
Question
A resident (muqim) muqtadi, after the salam of a traveller (musafir) imam, in the remaining rak‘as that he will pray on his own — will he say the tasmi‘ (“sami‘a Llahu li-man hamidah”), the tahmid (“Rabbana laka l-hamd”), or both?
Answer
I have not seen an explicit specific ruling (juz’iyya) [on this case]. His being a muqtadi in ruling requires that he suffice with the tahmid, while his being a masbuq requires that he combine [the two].
