A mistake in the iqama: should it be restarted from the beginning?

Question

If a mistake occurs while saying the iqama (takbir), should one recite it from the beginning or from the place where the mistake occurred?

Answer

If something is left out while saying the iqama, one should correct it and recite from the very place where the mistake occurred; there is no need to go back to the beginning.
