Does calling the adhan without wudu’ bring down ill fortune?

Question

I heard a person saying that if the adhan is called without wudu’, then ill fortune descends as far as the sound of the adhan reaches. Is this correct?

Answer

Calling the adhan without wudu’ is disliked in the Shari‘a (as [stated] in the books of fiqh), but I have not seen the matter of ill fortune in any book.
