The Urine of the Noble Prophet ﷺ Is Pure

Question

Question: A certain scholar (‘alim) said in his sermon that the Noble Prophet ﷺ urinated into a vessel and gave it to a Companion to pour out. The Companion went to another place and drank it. When he returned, the Prophet ﷺ asked whether he had poured it out. He replied that he had drunk it — he had had a stomach ache, and it was cured. At this the Prophet ﷺ smiled and said: “Now there will be no more pain.

Answer

The Noble Prophet ﷺ was the purest, most unsullied and most purified of all creation; nothing proceeding from him is impure (najis), nor can other people be compared to him by analogy (qiyas). The narration you cited in the question is indeed found in “al-Shifa’”. This book is the work of Qadi ‘Iyad, and it is reliable (mu‘tabar).
