Must the Nikah Be Renewed After Twenty Children?

Question

It is commonly said that a woman who has twenty children by one husband should contract nikah again. What is the ruling on this?

Answer

This is baseless and wrong: the nikah does not end because of this, and there is no need for a second nikah.
