Combining a Paternal Aunt and Her Niece in One Man’s Marriage

Question

Zayd had given his full sister Hinda in marriage to ‘Umar. The said sister is alive and is in the marriage. Now Zayd has also given his daughter in marriage to ‘Umar — is this permissible or not? Majid says that this should by no means happen.

Answer

Majid is right: this nikah is by no means permissible, and let him separate his daughter from that man; otherwise it will be unlawful fornication under the name of nikah.
