Nikah with a Foster Sister by Milk

Question

Hinda had a baby son in her lap who died. Hinda suckled Zayd, the son of her sister Khalida, with her milk for only one day. After that a daughter was born to Hinda, who is now adult. Can the marriage contract (‘aqd) of this girl take place with Khalida’s elder son — that is, with the elder brother of Zayd, whom she had suckled — named Bakr, or not?

Answer

The sister’s son whom Hinda suckled has become Hinda’s milk son. His nikah with any of Hinda’s daughters is not valid. The nikah of Hinda’s daughter with the other brother of this boy, whom she did not suckle, is valid.
