Marriage Between the Children of One Brother’s Divorced Wife and the Children of the Other Brother Who Performed the Halala

Question

Muhammad Shahid and Muhammad Zahid are full brothers, and both are married. Muhammad Shahid, in anger, gave three talaqs to his wife, one Jamila, who is the mother of several children. After the ‘idda she was married to Muhammad Zahid. After 12–13 days Muhammad Zahid gave Jamila three talaqs. After the ‘idda, Jamila’s nikah took place again with Muhammad Shahid. Now the question is: can the children of Muhammad Shahid and Muhammad Zahid marry one another or not?

Answer

Nikah between the children of Muhammad Shahid and Muhammad Zahid is valid. Because Muhammad Shahid’s wife, after the talaq and the ‘idda, was married to Muhammad Zahid, no obstacle or prohibition will arise in the nikah of their children.
