Marriage of a Mother and Her Daughter to Two Brothers

Question

Hinda and Hinda’s daughter came to Kanpur for the purpose of marriage. The daughter was married to Zayd’s elder brother. Some days later, after some attachment had developed, the girl’s mother married Zayd. What is the ruling concerning both?

Answer

If this girl was married to Zayd’s brother and the girl’s mother was married to Zayd, then both are valid.
