One who missed the Eid prayer: should he pray it alone or in congregation?

Question

If two or four people, or someone [alone], missed the Eid prayer, may they perform the Eid prayer or not?

Answer

One who missed the Eid prayer cannot perform the Eid prayer alone. Likewise, if two or four people missed it, they too should not hold a separate congregation of the Eid prayer; rather, they should go to their homes and perform two or four nafls, each individually.
