Praying Zuhr before the Jumu'a

Question

A person prayed Zuhr before the Friday prayer and then came to pray the Jumu'a. What is the ruling for him?

Answer

He should pray the Jumu'a, and the Zuhr he prayed becomes batil (void). If he does not pray the Jumu'a with the imam, repeating (i'ada) the Zuhr becomes binding on him.
