Ihtiyat al-Zuhr after the Friday Prayer
Question
There is an imam of the Hanafi madhhab who always prays and leads the Jumu'a in villages with the intention of fard. But since, according to the fatwa of Hakim al-Umma ﵀ and Hazrat Mawlana Rashid Ahmad ﵀, the denial of the validity of the Jumu'a in villages is evident, if the said imam prays Zuhr as a precaution with the intention of qada', is he, according to his own madhhab, sinful in praying the qada', or deserving of reward?
Answer
It is not correct for this imam to lead or to pray the Jumu'a in such a place; the prayer of those who pray the Jumu'a behind him will not be valid. The fatwa of Hazrat Mawlana Rashid Ahmad ﵀ forbidding ihtiyat al-zuhr has been printed separately.
