Jumu'a, the Eid prayers and the sacrifice in a settlement of two thousand

Question

The population of Zayd's village is about two thousand. For a long time the prayers of the two Eids and the Jumu'a prayer have been performed here. The necessary things are available in the village, and there are shops selling essential goods in the village. Is it, according to the Hanafis, impermissible to perform the Jumu'a and Eid prayers in such a settlement? Further, may the Jumu'a prayer be performed in several mosques in such a settlement? (2)

Answer

It is best to invite an experienced scholar and mufti and have [the place] inspected; whatever fatwa he gives after seeing everything fully should be acted upon. The full state of affairs cannot be known from a written account alone.
