Placing a jujube branch in the grave

Question

What is the ruling on placing a jujube branch in the grave after the planks have been laid?

Answer

I have not seen this in the books of fiqh; had this been established [in the Shari‘a], the jurists would certainly have written about it. In “Fatawa Rashidiyya” it is described as a distinguishing mark (shi‘ar) of the Rafidis, so one should avoid it.
