Supplicating with raised hands after burial
Question
In the graveyard, after [reciting] al-Fatiha, at the time of the supplication for isal al-thawab (gifting reward), should the hands be raised or not?
Answer
Raising the hands is not necessary for conveying the reward: the reward arrives even without raising the hands. Moreover, it gives onlookers the suspicion that [the person] may be asking something of the occupant of the grave.
