The funeral prayer and placing the deceased in the Eidgah

Question

May the funeral prayer be performed within the bounds of the Eidgah (the place of the festival prayer) or not? And may the deceased be placed inside the Eidgah or not?

Answer

The deceased may be placed there, and the funeral prayer may also be performed there: it (the Eidgah) does not have the ruling of a mosque in every respect.
