Moistening the shroud with Zamzam water

Question

Is it permissible to moisten the shroud with Zamzam water or to sprinkle it, or not?

Answer

In the grave the body of the deceased bursts and impurity also reaches the shroud, while the blessed Zamzam deserves reverence and should be protected from impurity; therefore moistening the shroud with Zamzam is not appropriate. This is what is written in “Imdad al-Fatawa”.
