A wage for amulets and spending it on a mosque
Question
Question: A person practises amulets and charm threads and obtains five and a quarter rupees from every patient. Is it correct to spend both these earnings on the construction or repair of a mosque or not?
Answer
If he does not practise deception in amulets, charm threads and the like and does not do anything contrary to the Shari‘a, then taking a wage for it is also correct; and giving earnings of this kind to the mosque and spending them on oneself are all correct.
