Hadd in the case of forcible zina
Question
Two men in army uniform entered Zayd’s house. Because of this Zayd thought that the army had come, and he left the house and fled. These two men committed zina with his wife. In such a case, will any hadd fall upon the woman or not?
Answer
No hadd will be applied to this woman on the part of the Shari‘a, because this woman was coerced (mukraha), and hadd does not fall upon one who is coerced; thus in al-Hidaya (vol.
