The Sacrifice of One Performing Qiran: in the Haram or at Home

Question

A person performing qiran (qarin), after offering the sacrifice in gratitude for the qiran — should he also perform there the other sacrifice (udhiya) which he used to offer in his homeland, or should he instruct his children to perform the sacrifice in the homeland? Which is more virtuous?

Answer

If his children perform the sacrifice on his behalf according to his instruction, his sacrifice will be valid; however, the reward for sacrifice in the sacred Haram is much greater.
