Killing a kafir
Question
(1) Will one be called to account in the Hereafter for killing a kafir unconditionally? (2) There is a kafir who greatly oppresses Muslims and has even killed a Muslim. If someone now kills him, will he be called to account in the Hereafter?
Answer
(1) Without a crime (jurm) this is by no means permitted; for doing so one will be called to account in the Hereafter. (2) Has this kafir actually killed anyone unjustly? Even if he has killed, taking the law into one’s own hands is against the law. Legal action should be taken against him: his wrongdoing should be proven and he should be made to receive punishment.
