Reports about those who reached the Moon

Question

Question: Reports about scientists who reached the Moon are constantly broadcast on the radio and in newspapers: that they brought soil or stones from the Moon; they describe the Moon as a piece of the Earth and say that there are mountains, rivers and streams there. Are these reports true, and is there any confirmation of them in the Qur’an and Hadith?

Answer

Just as many other reports of marvels are related, so too are these reports. Even if this proves to be true, it does not entail any contradiction or refutation of the Qur’an and Hadith. It may be true, or it may not.
