Inhabitants above the Moon and beneath the earth

Question

Question: Is there any population on the Moon, beneath the earth and in the heaven or not? If there is, whose umma do they belong to?

Answer

Above the heaven there are angels everywhere; they are obedient by their very nature and need no prophet. The Moon too is in the heaven, and the existence of any creature on it is not known. The earth has seven layers; in each layer a distinct creation dwells, and to each creation a prophet of its own kind is sent.
