Do the scholars differ about those who reached the Moon?

Question

Question: These days it is widely known among the common people and the elite that some people from America went to the Moon and also brought back soil and the like from there. Our scholars have made differing statements about this. From one side a poster (leaflet) is published saying that some people from America, by going to the Moon, have given further proof of the event of the Mi‘raj and confirmed the splitting of the Moon, by which Islam has been strengthened.

Answer

If you keep silent about the Americans and say nothing at all, what difficulty is there in that? No one will call you outside Islam, nor will anyone order a renewal of nikah. God knows who published such leaflets, and who forced you to read them and believe them.
