A ring of silver and other metals
Question
Is it permissible for a man to use gold, silver, brass or iron weighing up to 6–7 annas (a coin worth 1/16 of a rupee), or not?
Answer
For a man, only a silver ring of three and a half mashas (a unit of weight, ≈ 0.97 g) is correct; a ring of any other metal is not correct for a man. So it is in al-Durr al-Mukhtar.
