Wearing a black kurta
Question
Question: What is the ruling on a Muslim man tying a black waist-wrap, wearing a black kurta (long shirt) or wearing a black waistcoat?
Answer
It is permissible; but when it is the distinctive mark (shi‘ar) of some group of fussaq or kuffar — as it is the distinctive mark of the Rafidites in Muharram — then one should keep away from it.
