Tying a dhoti

Question

Question: Tying a dhoti (an unstitched lower-body cloth) in such a way that there is no fear of the ‘awra being exposed, i.e. like loose trousers, and in the other way, as Hindus and others tie it — is it permissible or not? Kindly write with clarification.

Answer

Tying it in the manner that is particular to Hindus is prohibited.
