A collared shirt and loose trousers with wide leg openings

Question

Question: Is it permissible to wear a shirt with a collar or not? And what is the ruling on wearing loose trousers with wide leg openings? If it is permissible, then what will be the answer to “Whoever imitates a people is one of them”?

Answer

Now neither of these two things is a distinctive mark (shi‘ar) of the kuffar or the fussaq, so this does not fall under prohibited imitation (tashabbuh). However, in our parts this is not the clothing of the God-fearing and the righteous, so abstaining from such clothing is better and more fitting.
