Trousers below the ankles

Question

What is the ruling on trousers by which the ankles are covered, even if there is no arrogance?

Answer

This is the dress of the arrogant and of the fasiqs. If it is with the intention of adopting imitation (tashabbuh) of them, or with the intention of arrogance, it is haram; otherwise it is makruh.
