Delivering semen into a buffalo by injection

Question

Question: Nowadays a new method — injection — has been invented for making female cattle, for example buffaloes, cows and the like, pregnant. Instead of bringing the male to her, the female animal is made pregnant by means of an injection. In bringing the female to the male and getting her pregnant there is also this objectionable aspect: a fee or price has to be paid for the impregnation; without it the animal is not made available. Is it permissible to make the female pregnant by injection or not?

Answer

Even if the female becomes pregnant by injection, her milk or meat will not be called impermissible; but this method is contrary to nature (fitra). In it there is escape from one objectionable aspect, but surely a price has to be paid for this injection too — is the sale and purchase of semen permissible?
