Introducing semen by means of injection

Question

Question: If the breed of animals is changed without the mating of male and female, by this method — that a person extracts the semen of the male and places it in the womb of the female — what is the ruling on this placing, and then what is the ruling on that offspring: may (its) milk and meat be eaten or not?

Answer

This method is contrary to nature (fitra); but since the male and the female are both halal, the offspring born of their semen will be halal, and the milk and meat of both will also be halal. Editor’s note: if the offspring born of the semen of a haram animal is halal by following its mother, then the offspring born of the semen of a halal animal will be halal all the more.
