Accepting an invitation from a fornicatress’s haram wealth

Question

Question: A fornicatress, with cash earned from fornication (zina), took land etc. in pledge and grew wheat, barley, chickpeas etc. on that land. If she gives all of this as charity to some scholar (‘alim), will it be permissible for him to take it or not? And will it be permissible to accept the fornicatress’s invitation or not?

Answer

Whatever it is wajib to give away in charity (sadaqa), it is not right for a wealthy person to take it, and a scholar in particular should avoid such things. Likewise, it is extremely important for a scholar to keep away from the invitation of one whose occupation and wealth are purely haram.
