The ruling on wealth derived from interest after repentance
Question
Question: A certain person has been engaged in dealings involving interest (riba). Now he says that he has stopped taking interest. What we need to know is: will his accumulated wealth become pure or not? And is it right to eat at an invitation at his place or not?
Answer
Whatever amount of interest he took, let him return it; from the rest, eating and feeding others are all right. Thus in “Radd al-Muhtar”.
