Passing off a Bhangi’s son as a Muslim and eating and drinking with him
Question
Question: A person presented the son of a Bhangi (of the sweepers’ caste) as a Muslim and ate and drank with him. Has this person now remained pure, or has he become impure? Should we separate this person from ourselves?
Answer
Because of presenting the Bhangi’s son as a Muslim and eating and drinking with him, that Muslim boy has not become impure; by no means separate him from yourselves: he is a Muslim, he is pure. However, presenting a non-Muslim as a Muslim is contrary to fact and is a lie, and this kind of close association with him is also not proper.
