Having the ‘aqiqa meal served by the hands of Chamars
Question
Question: A Muslim had food cooked for an ‘aqiqa and had that food served to the Muslims by the hands of Chamars (of an Indian caste of leatherworkers, regarded as low). This was found out later, that is, it became known afterwards that the food had been served by the hands of Chamars?
Answer
In our parts, Chamars generally do not take care of cleanliness; rather, they remain soiled with impurity. They should not be given the task of serving food to Muslims at an invitation; sound natures feel aversion to this.
