Eating and staying at a non-Muslim’s house, and intercourse with one’s pregnant wife

Question

Question: The matter is that I often have to go to villages, and sometimes I also have to spend the night there, and mostly I stay among non-Muslims, and these people consume impermissible things, for example wine and pork. Is it permissible to eat in such a place? If the wife is pregnant, is intercourse permissible or not? Before this I asked you the same question, and you wrote that in the Shari‘a there is no restriction, but from the medical point of view one should be careful when childbirth is near.

Answer

Their food and their vessels are not at all reliable — one should abstain from them completely. Yes, if they serve something pure in pure vessels, there is room for it, just as there is room for things made by them (tea and the like) at shops (roadside eateries).
