Meat cooked by a kafir

Question

Question: A certain religious scholar says that if a kafir cooks or prepares the meat of an animal slaughtered by the hand of a Muslim, then eating it is haram. If someone is having meat prepared by a non-Muslim cook and that cook is left alone, is that meat haram for a Muslim?

Answer

Regarding whether some meat is halal or haram, the word of a kafir is not taken into account. For example, if some kafir buys some meat, cooks it and says that this meat is halal, that statement is not reliable.
