Buying and selling by minor children

Question

Question: In the shops in the villages, children of every kind, small and big, carry out transactions. The question is: is it necessary for a sale (bayʿ) that one be an adult or not — is it permissible or impermissible? Kindly inform us of the ruling of the Sharia.

Answer

If minor children buy and sell with the permission of their guardian (wali), it is valid.
