A shortfall in land discovered after its sale
Question
Question: Hamid bought a plot of land at the rate of 2900 rupees per bigha (a local unit of land area) and paid the price at the same time. But Zayd said: “For now we will earn something with this money, and after a few days we will write the sale deed of this land in your name.” Hamid too agreed to this. Later it became known that the land for which the money had been given to Zayd was less.
Answer
No condition was stipulated in the sale itself; whatever conversation took place happened after the sale had been completed, and it will have no effect on the sale.
